About Me

My goal is to contribute to the life of the Church by writing books and teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. My deepest conviction is that our theology departments, seminaries, and churches must do a better job questioning the use of binary logics in theology that segregate our communities, and foster homophobic & transphobic exclusion. As younger generations increasingly abandon American churches, my interdenominational training in Jesuit, Eastern Orthodox, Evangelical, and Mainline Protestant traditions enables me to foster learning in a pluralistic yet critical way.
